Being an independent marketing consultant in Boston

For those of you that haven't heard... I am unemployed. I have to say I feel full of life, like when you listen to a great band for the first time, speaking of (check out the latest Kings of Leon, it's inspiring!!!) I think I want to become my own boss and try my hand at being an independent marketing consultant in Boston. But I am super scared. I have talked to a few people I know that do something like it. If anyone has any advice, I would LOVE to hear it! And if you need marketing help: like your whole marketing department was let go and you still need someone to help with RFP's, collateral development, (case stories, press releases, product brochures, white papers) direct marketing campaign development, SEO, Google AdWords, Blogging, event planning, etc. You get the drift.
